The Syracuse Spartans announce their second addition to the 2021 roster as Anthony May also returns to the team for a second season in Central New York.
“Anthony saw tremendous improvement at the plate during the 2019 summer,” said Spartans Head Coach Matt Michalski. “He’s had an immediate impact at Wheeling University. He will be one of our leaders this summer and we’re very excited to have him with us.”
May batted .241 in 35 games for the Spartans in 2019. He tied for the team lead in home runs with five and ranked third in RBIs with 16. May currently plays at Wheeling University in West Virginia, where he is batting .242 through 14 games. He spent his first two years of college at Monroe Community College.
A native of Baldwinsville, May graduated from CW Baker High School. He joins Jackson Geisler as the returning Spartans from the 2019 season.
