The Syracuse Spartans roster for the 2024 New York Collegiate Baseball season is ready, featuring 11 local Central New York players.
Matt Alexander (Jamesville-Dewitt HS), Chaz Anthony (Liverpool HS), Rowen Beattie (Pulaski HS), Luke Boule (CBA Syracuse), Tyler Campbell (Westhill HS), John Francesconi (Marcellus HS), James Musso (Skaneateles HS), Colin Ray (CW Baker HS), Braden Seeber (CW Baker HS), Ethan Snyder (Marcellus HS) and Joe Wike (Bishop Grimes HS) all feature on the Syracuse Spartans this season. 32 players in total feature on Syracuse’s opening day roster for the 2024 NYCBL season.
In addition to the 11 local Central New York players, five returning Spartans feature on the opening day roster. 2023 Spartans Luke Boule, Ethan Snyder and Joe Wike return to the Spartans as well as 2022 Spartans Matt Alexander and Tyler Campbell. Wike and Alexander were both NYCBL All-Star and All-League selections.
Eight Spartans feature from Division I colleges in the NCAA. Chaz Anthony, Rowen Beattie, Tyler Campbell and James Musso represent Le Moyne College. Matt Alexander comes from Bucknell University. Luke Boule joins from UAlbany. Finally, Cade Collins and Ben Timblin join Syracuse before joining 2024 NCAA Tournament school Wofford College in the fall.
The Syracuse Spartans begin its seventh season in the NYCBL on Wednesday, June 5 against the Syracuse Salt Cats. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00 pm at the OCC Baseball Complex.
