Three Syracuse Spartans were named to the New York Collegiate Baseball League All-Star Game. The Spartans are represented by Syracuse native Matt Alexander, Sammy Lee and Liverpool native Joe Wike.

Matt Alexander, an infielder, has been named to his second NYCBL All-Star Game. His previous All-Star appearance was in the 2022 season. Alexander ranks third amongst qualified Spartans hitters in batting average and hits with a .304 batting average and 21 hits. He also leads the team with 19 walks. A native of Syracuse and a graduate of Jamesville-Dewitt High School, Alexander is a rising senior at Bucknell University. He is in his third season with the Syracuse Spartans. 

Sammy Lee, a catcher, is the second Pomona-Pitzer College player to represent the Spartans in the NYCBL All-Star Game. The first was JC Ng in 2022. At the time of release, Lee ranks second in the NYCBL amongst qualified hitters in batting average with a .433 batting average. His 16 RBIs and 1.170 OPS leads the Spartans amongst qualified hitters. Lee, a native of Lafayette, California, is a rising sophomore at Pomona-Pitzer College.

Joe Wike, an infielder, has also been named to his second NYCBL All-Star Game. His previous All-Star appearance was in the 2023 season. Wike ranks second amongst qualified Spartans hitters in batting average and hits with a .319 batting average and 23 hits. His 13 RBIs is tied for second on the team. A native of Liverpool and a graduate of Bishop Grimes High School, Wike recently announced his transfer to Barry University after three seasons at Eckerd College. He is in his second season with the Syracuse Spartans. 

The NYCBL All-Star Game will take place at Innovative Field in Rochester, New York. It is the home of the Rochester Red Wings, the AAA affiliate of the Washington Nationals. The All-Star Game is scheduled for Monday, July 8 at 3:00 pm.
