Ben Foster was a local CNY baseball player who unfortunately passed away in a car accident at 15 years old on June 1st, 2022. His memory lives on through the lives he touched. This sentiment encapsulates the essence of Ben Foster, a remarkable individual whose presence left an indelible mark on all who knew him, though his time with us was tragically brief. Applicants are asked to select and illustrate at least three qualities from the list that they have embodied in their own experiences and how they will continue to exemplify these qualities in the future.

Applicants are required to submit a 500-word “Be Like Ben” essay outlining why they should receive the “Ben Foster Legacy Scholarship,” drawing upon the characteristics listed above and how they mirror Ben’s exemplary traits.

Applications must be submitted by May 15, 2024. Winner of the $500 scholarship will be notified by May 15, 2024.
