SYRACUSE, NY — The Syracuse Spartans bounce back from a loss with a dominant 9-0 victory over the Rome
Generals on Tuesday, July 16th.Spartans pitcher Michael Paciocco threw a two-hit shoutout as he went the distance versus the generals. Paciocco finished with 10 strikeouts and only walked three. Along with the impressive performance by Paciocco on the mound, the spartans got a lot of production from its batters, as the offense produced
nine runs. Four players had at least two hits and Joesph Curci lead the team with three runs batted in.

This was an important win for the Spartans as the teams is fighting for playoff position in the Eastern Division. The Spartans are currently in third place, only trailing the Syracuse Salt Cats and the Cortland Crush. The Crush are looking to move into that second place position and secure a spot in the 2019 NYCBL playoffs. The Spartans look feed off tonight’s win over the Generals, as they take on the Sherrill Silversmiths tomorrow, Wednesday, July 17th at Noyes Park
